6th Street Dance started from a vision Molly King had to create space for adult community members to collaboratively make dance.  6th Street Dance has performed at various Sheboygan events, such as Earth Fest and Youth Art Month at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center.  Now, 6th Street Dance is continuing to meet, but this time, the mission is for young adolescents to be creative.

6th Street Dance is offered for both Mosaic and IDEAS students on Tuesday evenings from 4:15 - 5:00pm as part of our after school program, Camp Étude.  Since the beginning of December, students have been learning choreography for a hip hop/jazz/modern routine that Molly King has created.  Currently, the students are working together to create an original ending to the dance.  They are extending their school day by utilizing the skills and techniques learned in their seminar dance classes, and applying their creative thinking skills (playing, interpersonal, observing, and synthesizing).
