From Old to New | Ages 10+ without and adult
Making, Prototyping, and Documentation
4 hour workshop
In this workshop students work in teams sculpting new garments of already existing ones. By taking apart of clothes and through sculpting the students will discover new shapes and forms in clothing while also be fitting their new garments on a fit model— to see their new creations in action.
This workshop shows students that old can be new. That value of our belongings is important. Textile waste is one of the biggest problems in the fashion industry, I hope to encourage students to think differently about all materials in their making.
Growing and Making | Ages 10+ without and adult
Collaborative Making, and growing of textiles.
4 hour workshop
As Olmedo creates three new pieces to showcase for a small gathering in NYC, he invites the community to come help make, grow, and maintain the small pieces for the show. This is hand sewing, learning about Olmedo's textile and laying seeds and watering.

Ross Klettke will return to facilitate a four week long Game Development workshop. Inviting you to create your first video game! Over 4 weeks, we'll learn the basics of game development with Unity -- a powerful, flexible, and free(!) tool used widely in the industry. We'll practice game design, art, animation, and sound (and a bit of programming if there's interest) looking towards bringing your ideas to life. The games themselves will definitely be able to run on Mac and PC. Held at Étude High School on the following days August 7th, 9th, 14th, 16th, 21st, 23rd, 28th and 30th from 1:00pm-4:00pm. This workshop is 4 weeks long to complete your very own digital game design. This free program is open to all Sheboygan area students ages 14-18. Please note that this is a 4 week session with limited space; we are hoping each participant can commit to attending both sessions during all four weeks. RSVP is required.
