Meet Luke Bloise, Étude Class of 2020 graduate. Luke started his journey with The Étude Group as a kindergartener, making him part of an elite group of students that spent a total of 13 years with Étude.
“I have been learning with the Étude Schools since kindergarten. I don’t know why I was put here, but I know I stayed in the Étude family because of the amazing learning environment, extremely helpful staff, and the many wonderful people who also learn here.”
During his time at both Étude Middle and High School, Luke participated in all things engineering—FTC, FLL, and all the Engineering classes offered.
“Introduction to engineering back in 6th grade was one of the most memorable classes I had in middle school, mostly because it introduced me to Tim and got me interested in civil engineering.”
Since he was part of the original FTC and FLL competitive teams, Engineering teacher and coach Timothy Pasche considers Luke a founding member of the teams. Luke was also part of this year’s State Qualifying team, the first in Étude history.
“Luke was one of our first students to help lay the foundation for success in all of our robotics teams at Étude. He brought a fresh perspective to each year's build and always embodied the core values of our schools at each competition.”
Luke plans to enroll in UW-Green Bay at Sheboygan Campus next fall. Like many of the Étude seniors, Luke excelled academically and socially during his time learning in Project Block.
“I feel my favorite project was the Burg and Bloise Brand of Bunkers, it was a ton of fun to make a project that had such a great presentation, and the fact I got to do it with my best friend was just icing on the cake.”
Congratulations Luke and thank you for being a part of the Étude community! Go forth with an excitement for learning, a desire to explore and the knowledge that you are empowered to change the world.
