Baccalaureate services date back to 1432 and were originally religious occasions. Our modern version is secular and
meant to celebrate, honor, and inspire the graduating class.
Our keynote speaker is Ms. Barbara Lawton: Wisconsin’s 43 lieutenant governor from 2002 - 2010 , and exemplary public servant and leader in women’s rights, the creative economy, and political reform movements.
A special alumna guest speaker, Ms. Akilah Allen, graduated from the first class at IDEAS Academy and continued her education at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee graduating this spring.
Scholarships and awards will be celebrated.
After the ceremony, the class picture will be taken, then the seniors will travel to IDEAS for their Senior Banquet.
