BMO Harris has come on board as a sponsor of the Étude Sessions. Sponsorships help offset the costs of shows so concert revenues go directly to fund programming such as artists-in-residence and college readiness at our schools. Thank you, BMO Harris!
Sponsorships are still available for you or your business. It's not too late to support this dynamic music series happening right here in your neighborhood! Plus, you can get tickets to sold-out shows like PHOX or The Avett Brothers.
We are very pleased to announce Huber Creative as a Season Three Sponsor. Last year, with their support we welcomed Mike Mangione & the Union[http://mikemangione.com] to play an incredible night of music at Paradigm.
We are counting down the days until PHOX kicks off the 2015-16 season of the Étude Sessions at Paradigm Coffee and Music on October 16th. As we begin our third year, we've reached out to our community of supporters (you!) for Sponsorships to help us build this exciting series. We are so thankful for those of you who have answered the call and become sponsors, we want to shout it from the rooftops!
The second and third graders in Mrs. Pekarek’s class are going to be editors, at least for this hour of class.
For the most part, this year’s new teachers didn’t know a thing about the Étude schools before they applied to work here. They saw a post for a teaching position at ESAA, Mosaic or IDEAS Academy and decided to check out our website to learn more. “It’s a bit of a drive, but I’m applying,” recalls Becky Knight excitedly. “I was immediately grabbed by the whole vision.” Rod Stoehr also saw the posting, went to the website and thought it sounded like a great fit. There was something about Étude’s unique learning philosophy, positive environment and collaborative culture that told each of them they belonged here.

If you set up the right conditions in a school amazing things can happen. Today was one of those days at Mosaic. This year, we opened the school year with mini projects. The remarkable thing I observed today was our students’ ability to provide insightful observations, work collaboratively, and present their ideas in front of others. If today was any indication of the year we will have, it will be a great year for learning using the creative process.
Thank you to those who have already purchased Season Passes for Season 3 of the Étude Sessions. We know others are looking to purchase in the next week. We want to make sure that as you plan out your session attendance this season, you know that Season Passes are limited. Once the Phox show sells out (and it will sell out), we will stop selling Season Passes. Phox tickets as well as tickets for Hayward Williams and The Dave Stoler Quartet, go on sale on Friday, September 4th at 11:00 a.m.
The first week of school is an opportunity to convey our beliefs and expectations not only through our words, but by what we do. Since the inception of the Étude High School, we have put a great deal of time and thought into how we start the school year - involving students in the processes of creating our school culture and engaging in the intellectual work we expect of them. It is through these actions that we initiate a strong school culture and an in depth intellectual culture.
